Food Pantry Shelves
A board member has challenged other board members, local churches and the public. The men of First Baptist Church, Walnut Street Lumberton have promised and have been building shelves for our food pantry. All you have to do is donate the cost of one or more shelving units - $75 each. The response has been great but we still need more shelves. These shelves enable food to be off the pallets on the floor and be more accessable for rotation, not to mention the safety factor of helping to prevent back strain from lifting heavy boxes. It also makes it easier for our volunteers and staff to sort food. So rise to the challenge! Put "food pantry shelves" in the memo portion of your check!
